Who we are

UareUx is Tanya Donska and Iryna Baranova. We are the data controllers for this site, which means we decide what happens to any personal data it collects.

You can reach us at [email protected] about anything on this page.

What we collect

If you fill in the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company, role, the size of your company, the service you are interested in, your timeline, your budget range, a subject line and whatever you write in the message field. All of it is optional except your name, email, company and the message itself.

If you just read the site, we collect nothing about you directly. There is no login, no account, and nothing to fill in.

We do not record your IP address or your browser details against your enquiry. Most contact forms do.

Why we collect it, and on what basis

To read your enquiry and reply to it. That is the whole purpose.

Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will delete what you sent.

The questions about company size, timeline and budget are there so we can tell you quickly whether we are the right people for the work. Answering them is optional and leaving them blank does not affect whether we reply.

Who else is involved

Running a website means other companies handle some of this on our behalf.

  • Cloudflare runs the spam check on every page of this site, serves the images, and provides our analytics. It receives your IP address and basic browser information in order to do so.
  • Our email provider delivers the message from the form to our inbox.
  • Our hosting provider runs the server the site and its database sit on.

Delivering a website at all means your IP address is processed by the server and by Cloudflare. That is unavoidable and it is not stored against your enquiry.

None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We can tell you exactly who they are if you ask.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and nobody outside UareUx and the providers above sees your enquiry.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages get read and roughly which countries visitors come from. It sets no cookies, does not use a device fingerprint, and cannot follow you to another site. We cannot identify you from it and neither can anyone else.

Where your data goes

The server that runs this site, including the database that stores contact form submissions, is located in the United States. Cloudflare is also a US company operating a global network.

If you are in the UK or the EU, that means your data is transferred outside your country when you contact us. We rely on the standard contractual protections our providers offer for those transfers.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are kept for 24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will.

Email we exchange with you is kept for as long as we might reasonably need it, and deleted when we no longer do.

Cookies

This site sets three cookies. Two of them are strictly necessary, which means the site cannot work without them and they are set whether or not you agree:

  • uareux-session keeps track of your visit while you are here. It expires after two hours.
  • XSRF-TOKEN stops other websites submitting our contact form on your behalf. It also expires after two hours.

The third, laravel_cookie_consent, records that you have dismissed the cookie notice. It is only set once you interact with the notice.

Cloudflare may set its own cookie as part of the spam check.

Our analytics sets no cookies at all. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies, we do not build a profile of you, and there is nothing on this site that follows you anywhere else.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • delete it
  • stop or limit what we do with it
  • hand it over to you or someone else in a portable format
  • withdraw your consent, at any time

Email [email protected] and we will do it. We will not ask you why, and there is no charge.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first – it is usually faster.

If that does not resolve it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your own country if you are in the EU.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your data, we will email you.
